Keep Your ID’s Current
Here’s a good yearend project – Take a look at your Driver’s License and make sure that it is up-to-date. Even if you are no longer driving, it’s important to have your License for identification purposes. If your license expires, it’s a lot more work to get it re-issued versus renewed!
Join ANV’s Next Door Private Group
One way to stay on top of late-breaking ANV news is to join ANV’s Private Group on Next Door. It’s easy. Just follow this link to ask to join the Group and you will get approved. Then, as plans are finalized for some events, you will see the information on the ANV Next Door Group.

The December PPP will definitely be the last until next Spring when we will visit a range of different Arlington neighborhood parks. Wellness
COVID Booster shots and Flu Vaccine for Adults
Now is the time to get your COVID booster shot and flu vaccine. Opportunities to get COVID-19 vaccines and boosters and your flu shot are available in and around Arlington through pharmacies and other medical providers—visit vaccines.gov to find a location near you.
Aging in Place
A good New Year’s project is to take a good look at your space and see what improvements might be needed to make it more age-friendly. These two articles from the Washington Consumers Checkbook and Consumer Reports have some good tips to consider.
Be Careful
During this busy holiday season when we are all out and about it’s a good idea to
be vigilant for tripping hazards. As we all have noticed, the stores are crowded with busy holiday shoppers, decorations and extra aisle displays creating obstacles that make it more difficult to maneuver and get around. Long lines that snake around with shopping carts galore. We seem to get “all bunched up” in a small space between the check-out counters and shelving. It’s fun, it’s festive, and it puts you in the holiday spirit. Be safe. No one wants to fall and be injured. Happy Safe Holiday!
