ANV helps older adults age in their homes.

ANV volunteers provide members the extra help they need to remain safe, independent, and connected to the community while staying in their homes. Village membership is open to all Arlington County residents ages 55 and older.

ANV members pay a yearly fee for services including: 

Errands (grocery shopping, medication pickup, bank business)
Transportation to the doctor, store, bank, etc.
Friendly visitors, walking buddies, and phone buddies
Daily check-ins and follow-up if needed
Household help: changing light bulbs and smoke alarms, decluttering
Technology assistance and help connecting online
Social gatherings, outings, and special interest groups to reduce isolation
A weekly speaker series and health and wellness programs
Help identifying and accessing additional services
