Support ANV Through Your IRA

If you’re 70½ or older and take required minimum distributions from your IRA, you have a tax-smart way to support Arlington Neighborhood Village: direct your IRA custodian to transfer funds straight to ANV. The amount you give won’t count as taxable income—and you don’t need to itemize deductions to benefit.

Here’s how it works:

  • You must be at least 70½ years old
  • You can transfer up to $108,000 per person in 2025
  • The gift counts toward your required minimum distribution
  • You won’t owe income tax on the transferred amount

This is called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), sometimes known as a Qualified Charitable Rollover. It’s a straightforward way to support ANV’s work while managing your tax obligations.
