Susan Wallace is a 36-year resident of Arlington, a Foreign Service widow and mother of an adult son living in DC with his wife. She has worked at the National Geographic Society doing research and editing for the magazine; at AARP as a database editor/writer; and for several northern Virginia private companies providing geriatric care management services to older adults and their families, ensuring the safety and quality of life of the older adults. She has a Master’s degree in counseling from Marymount University and did her internship with the Arlington County Geriatric Mental Health Program. She is a long-time volunteer with Capital Caring hospice, Virginia Hospital Center, and Arlington Neighborhood Village.
